Last of the 6

My last Toronto entry is here. I want to again thank all the cool people of Toronto that showed me around, or made suggestions of these places to help my blog out. Thank you to my supporters for staying consistent and always showing me love in what I do. If you are new to my cyber baby, my name is Wendolyn. I blog on inexpensive ways to have a good time. My main goal is to get people out of the house, while still being nice to their pockets. Hope you all enjoy these last few places of my Canada trip.

I had never had Thai food before because I was always a little apprehensive about the spices being too intense. My experience was a great one. I actually can not wait to try a Thai place back home in Orlando. This place was called Thai Basil. Had the classic meal of pad thai. Noodles with chicken. I got it mild and it was very good. Thick noodles, tofu and a couple other ingredients. There were peanuts on the side, which surpinsngly was a nice addition to the meal, loved the balance. My friend Navi had their garlic beef and broccoli. He was on the more spicy side got it medium, but he loved it. Make sure you mix it around to get all the flavor just right. Make sure to enjoy their lunch special. 1130am-5pm $8-$11 meals. With that comes tom yum soup, mushrooms, lemon grass, lime leaves, and different spices. Great mild taste. Best veggie roll I ever had. Pop and Bill were our awesome waitresses, so attentive and extra friendly. Loved the service and food.

Another place I went to was Smokehouse 420. This was a great place to enjoy meats. I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich, on a ciabatta bun. The pork is tossed in their 420 sauce, so tender and flavorful. I chose the baked beans, but wish I picked something else, a little too much bbq sauce for my liking. Their corn bread with jalapenos was awesome. The meat had the perfect amount of kick. They even have a smoked vodka which I need to try next time. Some meats are even aged for 7+ days. Olya was my great waitress, she was great help and even gave me some great peanut butter homemade ice cream. Tasted like some chilled recesses cup, from Canadian heaven. They have specials all week that change up a little each week. Drink specials like $6 pints and $5 glass of house wines too.

St. Lawrance Market is a real cool place. They have a little bit, of everything. From cooked food, to souvenir shops, fish markets, meat markets, sweets, flowers. It is legit a one stop shop for what you need. A couple of floors filled with lots of variety. Pulled into a little Italian place for a eggplant and chicken sandwich. Big sandwich for a super good price.

Beer lover? Head over to Bier Market. They have over 150+ beers. Very good prices, finger foods available and still family friendly too. I went in to just grab a beer, I am horrible for not remembering the name, but it was something new, Belgium and tasted really refreshing. This was just something new and fun for me.
