The Porch
/Welcome back ya'll, during the week my dad came down from his job to spend some quality time with me and catch up. Our thing is always to go eat, and to do something fun. We went to a bar, eatery called The porch in Winter Park, Fl it is a really laid back spot, They have games, TV's everywhere and a couple of bars to pull into. They always have awesome specials, read on and find out what they are at the end. Hope you all enjoy it whenever you swing in.
If you have been following me for a while now, you know that I had went about two years with out drinking, I now once in a while have a social drink. I started off with a drink by the name of main squeeze. it is a nice light vodka drink with mint leaves and a light vanialla bean to it. It got the job done for me, without feeling the need to get on a bar and shake what my momma gave me. My dad's wife grabbed a fall fashioned, this had bourbon and had black cherries and black cherry syrup. It was strong, if you like dark, I would go with this one, not too sweet but still hits. My dad, being the man at the table chose the strongest one, it was called another day in paradise. It had bacardi 8, peaches and apricot to name a few, it is super strong, super delicious and super recommended. Next we chose some pretzel balls to munch on and dip into beer infused cheese dip. You have to submerge the whole ball in the cheese to get the little flavor in there. It is a nice hold down while your food gets there.
We all chose the same burger, they are just copy catters and want to eat like me clearly. I chose the Maui Waui burger, 100% sirloin burger with bacon, provolone cheese, cilantro and a piece of a pineapple. It was such a great balance, I loved every bite of it, you did not even need to add anything to it. the meat and pineapple alone will take your taste buds for a sweet ride, literally. I had mine on a white bun, they had theirs in a lettuce wrap. I had sweet potato tots, and a liquid gold dipping sauce, it was my personal favorite. His wife had onion rings (gross) and my dad had potato slices.
For dessert we shared a warm peach and butter delight with some vanilla ice cream, it was not too sweet, so you will not feel that guilty for it. It is a little of warm and cold.
Some of their great specials consist of you call it Tuesdays, this is when you build your own burger for only half of the price. Kids eating FREE on Wednesdays along with the Brooze and moos which have $3, $4, and $5 quality beers. Thursdays are all you can eat wings also. All day everyday they have their $5 Jacks and $3.50 coronas. They are opened until 2am, so this is a cool spot to play some games, grab some drinks, eat sone good food right before heading to another party, or a club or even just straight home. They have been opened since 2014 and I see this business taking off, the deals and service alone were great. My totally dope and attentive waitress Sophie will hopefully help me every time. When you go ask for her, cute young woman that will give you all the details you need to know when picking your drinks or food. I am huge on customer service, and she served that S***. I want to give a shout out to the few people who let me shoot some pictures of them while they were out, they were great sports about it, thank you guys. Hope you're reading this. :) Remember my motto to always "Love and allow to be loved" xo
