Cruisin'
/As ya'll read on last weeks entry, I went on a cruise for my friend Buse's birthday. It was one of my favorite travel locations thus far. Weather was great, locals showed so much love and the food on the island and the cruise were superb. Check out why people hype cruises up so much.
We left through Port Canaveral in Cocoa Beach. Buse's uncle works for Royal Caribbean. That is about 40 minutes from Orlando. Parking for the trip was about $64. Being that her uncle works for the company, he had a great hook up for us and our stay. I won't talk exact numbers, but check if you have family who works for a cruise line. If you do not know any, please contact me for great prices. I know someone who does 3 day, 2 night for $70 per person. Another for 5 day, 4 night for $100 a person. Plus a fee of about $60.
As soon as we checked into the boat, we dropped our bags off, did a quick walk through, snacked and got to drinking. I actually sneaked in some liquor. I had three bags called rum runners. I filled two up with Hennessy and one with Patron. Put two on my leg under some leggings, I wore a sundress to cover it. I actually did not even drink all of it. We ended up each being gifted premium drinking passes. These passes gave us unlimited liquor, beer, and sodas. Next time I will probably split a pass with one other person.
On the top deck they had a couple of pools and Jacuzzis. I did not get into any of them because I was more into the beaches when I got off the boat. They had rock climbing, game shows, comedy shows and even a casino. There are stores, activities for kids all ages and a couple of night clubs. We got to watch the NBA finals at the big pool on a big screen. I met this amazing young lady who was on her 8th cruise. Her name is Carolyn and she is from Dallas, Texas. She was so filled with life, smiles, and fun. I hope the universe lets me see her again someday. I loved all the drinking, music and diversity on the boat.
The first day we went to Nassau, which was last weeks blog. Then the next day we went to Coco Cay. This was an island that is specifically belonging to the cruise line. There were many activities to do on the island. We went snorkeling and laid out in the sun. They had a barbecue and drinks all day long too. I loved sun bating and seeing beautiful fishes deep in the baby blue clear water. I am a mermaid in another life, it felt so nice to be one with the sea.
The food was my top 3 on the trip. I legitimately lost about 5-6 lbs before this trip, I think I gained back about 7-8 lbs. Our waitress was Nem, she was so attentive and hospitable. The service all around the boat and on the island was perfection. There is food at all times of day and night. They even have room service, they deliver it all for just about $3. They dinners have some of the best food I've tasted. Great quality and options. We ate things like lamb, duck, beef, lasagna, and even some snail. I am a sweets lover, I fell for every dessert that they brought us out.
I wanted to just give you all a simple, and small review of what I did on the boat. A lot of the fun was every time I got off the boat, but there is so much to do all the time on the boat too. I was just in my room to sleep after 3am, and to change for the next event. I want to give a big shout out to Buse and Kash for a great trip, and to making more memories. Thank you to all my supporters for the ongoing support. Feel free to give all types of feedback and to ask me any questions. Every way to contact me is on my contact tab on the top tab.
