Free Up Close and Personal With The Sea Lions

This stop was one of my favorites on my California trip. I had been a few times before to California, but never really felt like I was one with the hidden gems the West coast has to offer. Want to thank my Orlando brother Phillip for putting us onto another A1 spot. Check below what fun there is to do, and where to go.

The drive to the location alone is too cool. Pictures really do not do this place much justice. They have a diversity of beach fun, rock adventures to the sea lions and even a grassy field to relax and lay out.

You are able to take the kiddies to jump in the water, or put some goggles on for an underwater adventure (wet suit not included). Make an adventure out of hopping from rock to rock, seeing how close you're able to get to the sea lions. Or you don't even need to touch the sand; there is a field of grass with trees spread out for some shady comfort. Had Maria even climb one for fun as ya'll see below. I appreciated the space and trip so much. Being such a paradox, it was my favorite to be around such a huge body of water AND mountains in one. God is beautiful, and mother nature is always showing out.

Being from Orlando, the closest you're able to really be to these beautiful animals are via Sea World or Zoo. So it was nice to see them be in their natural habitat and not behind a glass window. Not to mention that even though you're able to touch them and all in Sea World you also have to drop big bucks to do so. So being that this is an inexpensive blog, I figured I'd show ya'll how to see this gem, in California's "gem' La Jolla. So down below I have the location. Also check out the pictures below, tell me how ya'll like this place. Show me your own pictures if possible. All feedback from ya'll, my awesome supporters are always welcomed. Thank you for continuing to show me so much love on all my social media platforms. I will be graduating in just a couple of weeks, I can not wait to show my blog some extra TLC. New merchandise for #MarsMadness is also on the way. Remember to always Love and allow to be loved. God and hard work Xoxo

Hard Work, Sweat and Progression

My beautiful and amazing supporters! I needed a mental break from blogging and media working. I am coming back for you all, stronger and with brighter ideas. I am so excited for you all to continue my journey with me. To more adventures, more risks, and much more success!

So to kick off this update of mine! Working out for me is like a regular thing now. Still working on super healthy eating, but I am about 73% there. I am slimmer, skin is getting better slowly, my mind even feels healthier. Butt is getting bigger and gut is getting smaller. I took meat out for the month of January with the exception of sea food 1-2 a week. I am feeling great; I do miss meat, but I do have more energy. I am entering my last semester at Valencia College tomorrow. I am only taking one class, and will graduate in May. I have been in and out of school for over 5 years and even changed my major at one point. I am just happy to soon be finished with one obstacle, and on to the next. I applied for a University in Florida to continue my education. God willing to begin this summer with a couple of online classes.

Next is work, I am still on the hunt for someone who can offer flexibility with my school and travel, understands that I am a starving artist; but of course still be a well paying job for a hard worker like myself. I know to some it seems unattainable, but I know for a fact that they are out here. I refuse to overwork in something I am not passionate about for under $10. I prefer to have a company behind me that believes in me, and maybe even allow me to partner up with them afterwards. I am going to school for advertising and public relations. They can scratch my back now, and I may be able to scratch there's even better later.

Another thing I am in the mist of doing, is moving. I applied for a school as I said up top. I will give you a hint, it is NOT in Orlando. So I will have to leave the nest soon to continue my education and branding of myself. I have a few interviews lined up so keep those fingers crossed. A good paying job, and a few projects I have lined up will get my pockets a little oomph. The next 7-8 months will be a magnitude of money saving. I literally have a piggy bank, for all my change too. No penny will be wasted in the saving for this move.

Lastly I am proud to announce that I will soon have merchandise available for Wendolyn Mars. I will be honest with you all, my supporters. Personally I am going into this with a pen, pad and lots of faith. I am learning as I go, and using my past experiences with a great team around me to guide me. Stay tune to all my social media networks, as I will be trying to post more and interact more with you all. I want to able to blog more without the pressure of doing it every Sunday. So the days may jump around when publishing an entry. I want to thank you all for showing me extra love always. I am still looking for extra feedback on everything that I do. This is all for you guys, to make life easier on you all, so you can relate and save money all at once. Below I have a rough draft of something I may soon be putting out. Let me know if it is something that you all would enjoy to wear. Thank you all.

To my day 1 and my new supporters. I live by my quote "Love and allow to be loved". This is for everything around you. Your mind, your body, your job, your family, your higher power. If you love it, show it that, allow it to love you back. Nothing but greatness can result from love being spewed from both sides. Xo

Black Lives Matter

I am so sadden by this post. Again I have to bring awareness to yet again another tragedy. But here I am, doing it and holding my head high in the mist of it. Recently two more black men were murdered by careless police officers. I am here to give my views, shine light, and kill a little ignorance all in one for you all. All feedback is always welcomed.

Unless you live under a rock, you have seen all of the senseless acts of violence towards our black brothers and sisters. Hurts to see people that are supposed to be protecting us, boldly just shoot us down. The worse part is, no justice is being served.

Now I respect and appreciate all of our brave police officers doing their jobs the right way, and risking their lives everyday. Taking proper protocol, making the necessary arrests and attacks. But I believe they all need to speak up, point out what is clearly wrong. If you are silent for something as big as this, you truly are part of the problem. We need to all stand together, protest, scream for justice to be served. These murders are being seen on camera, full blown proof, and the system just decides to look the other way. Unfortunately we have many cowards hiding behind a badge. A real police officer is someone caring, fearless, intelligent, and aware. If you fear an unarmed, and harmless human being, and you want to apply to become a police officer, do us all a favor and go work retail at your local mall instead. So police officers if you read this, I ask for you to stand behind the citizens you swore to protect, and not behind the murderer with your same uniform.

As for the Black Lives Matter, I stand with it forever. Some are are saying "all lives matter" in response. That is irrelevant, we are stating the obvious. Problem is, black lives being something that does matter, clearly does not to others. So we will continue to shine light on this issue. Continue to stand up for what is right, keep talking about it to others every chance you get, and keep fighting until changes are made. I do not stand by violence, but it does not surprise me the way people are lashing out. We need to do more protests, shut down more streets, scream louder, get out to more cities, states, countries. Get new contracts in order, get new laws to make way, more testing for people entering the force. There are so many things we can try and change if we all work together.

I am grateful to have this platform to speak my mind, and give awareness to something so important to me. I do not want to fear about any of my loved ones being killed. I want to be able to voice my opinion, and have changes made. My mother risked coming to this country to give me a better life, because America was a safe country, seems to me some things have changed. Let us all be one voice. There is a Black Lives Matter march today Sunday July 10th, 2016 at Lake Eola, from 6pm-930pm. I hope you all can make it, let us be heard. Contact me if you need any help getting downtown, or have any questions. Thank you so much for the ongoing support from you all. Be safe, and remember to always love and allow to be loved. Xo

Hot Momma, Bahamas

Who can't appreciate a sweet getaway to a Caribbean island? I know I can, and that I did. Last weekend was one of my best friend Buse's birthdays. She wanted to celebrate with sand between her toes, and a golden tan to come back and show off. Her, her boyfriend Kash and myself took a 3 night cruise out to the Bahamas. I will go more into detail about the cruise next Sunday. This entry I will talk on the couple of places we visited while in Nassau, Bahamas.

First stop was a fish fry. It was such a funny story behind it. I made sure to ask all the locals where the best type of food was, what did they eat on lunch breaks? So everyone was saying "fish fry" I automatically thought this meant this was the actual name of the establishment. Turns out that was a whole area of different eateries. Luckily we had a great taxi driver that dropped us off in the best one in Arawak Cay. This spot was called Fish Central, had the pleasure of meeting the owner Dave. They had been opened only 9 months and a day when I went, and I see nothing but success for this business now, and in the future. Great hospitality, fast service, and nice prices. Can't ever go wrong with that triple combo. We grabbed some fried shrimp that was so nice and juicy. They had a perfect chili sauce for dipping them in. It was such a nice balance to have the crunch and tenderness of the shrimp with the tangy spice of the dip, it is a must grab for a starter $9. Buse enjoyed some fish fingers $8, simple lunch but clean nonetheless. The oil they use is so clean and perfect, every fried meal was so delicious and did not feel totally unhealthy. I grabbed the best fish sandwich I have ever had. Came with a batch of fries and some great dips to dabble in $10. It was in a light batter, so you can still fully taste and see the fish, it was just again fried to perfection. Kash had the big man plate, a cracked lobster snack $18. Now just the picture alone lets you see how amazing it must of tasted. The lobster was extra meaty and clean. You could taste the freshness without feeling like you drank a gallon of beach water. This whole establishment was great, I advice to sit upstairs it is way cooler and you have a beautiful view. This eatery is near it all, shopping, beaches, bars. Free wifi, food and drinks can't ever go wrong. Let them know the Blogger from Orlando sent you, and enjoy.

Next pull up, you know I had to grab a brew from the Island. I did not want the typical beer that comes in a bottle. Instead we found this dope crafts beer bar near our dock. This place was called Pirate Republic. They make beer right on the Island. They hold these dope beer pong offs on Fridays. They always have the tables out though, if you are ever in the mood for some friendly competition, loser buys the beers. I had a sweet brew for about $7 and a cigar from up the street. Started downstairs and worked our way to the top. They have a very nice view, and some unique art work on the walls, extra detailed too. They are always holding different types of events all the time. If you know you will visit look for their Instagram to see what events will be on when you go. I want to thank this place for the hospitality as well. I feel so bad for not remembering the name of the gentleman that assisted me. He is in the picture below, just know he is the BEST.

I had such a great time on the Island, can't wait to go back sometime. The people were just so beautiful, helpful and happy. Was so nice to be around such good energy on such a breath taking trip. Want to thank both businesses and the locals I met around the way for all the awesome hospitality. Next week I will let you all into my cruise, what I did on it, and how to book one for a great price. Thank you all for the continued support and love, remember to always "Love and allow to be loved". Xo

Pray for Orlando

First and fore most, I want to give my condolences to all the families who lost someone early Sunday morning. A huge, devastating tragedy has hit my city, my home. My heart is heavy for all the lives lost at Pulse night club. So sad to see us living in a world filled with so much hate still. I can not fathom how someone can just kill so many people for absolutely no legitimate reason, I want to ask you all regardless of your God, to pray for the lost souls, and families in this madness.

I can not believe that something this big happened where I live. I always pray for scenarios like these to stay away from me and my loved ones, we see them all the time on the news. We have came untied to heal all these wounded people. I am in so much love with everyone around Orlando right now. So many people in line donating blood, food, and support. Lines were out the the hospital doors and onto the streets filled with young and old people wanting to help and donate blood. I hate to say that something so disturbing like this event made us come so together, but happy at the same time for the great love we have gained from it (bitter sweet).

I want to make something clear too, my background is Catholic and I praise Jesus loud and proud. He is my savior and who I thank for keeping myself, my family and friends safe. But I also know, and love many Muslims. I respect their religion and what they stand for. I am a very open minded person and always appreciate learning. So I ask of you all to not judge a couple bad, soggy apples in a basket of fresh, crispy red ones.

I hope we all can continue to come together in this time. Let Orlando rise from this, and NOT let the enemy win. We will grow stong and fearless from this. Below I have some locations that are still allowing for people to donate blood. All donations are being taken for people standing in line. Even if you can not do one or the other, at least pray. Keep the victims and their loved ones in your prayers. I hope that this makes us more aware of our surroundings anywhere that we go. Let us always tell the people around us how much we love them, and try to keep good vibes with everyone around. Too much hate around to not want to shine compassion and love every chance we get. Thank you all for the continued support, and remember to always Love and allow to be loved. Xoxo

Appreciate Your Freedom

This entry is very different from anything I have done before, so bare with me. This week as opposed to going out to get something to eat, or to do an outdoors activity to blog on, I went to visit my friend in prison. We have been writing back and forth for years now, but this weekend was the first time I went to actually visit him. This was my first time in a prison environment so it was all very new to me, but I was open and excited to see my friend.

So first off, for those that have never been to prison, it is an equivalent of airport TSA on steroids. First off the dress code, no tight or revealing clothing. Skirts and dresses have to be a specific length. That's really it, they don't want you to dress like you're about to shake your ass for a dollar. Then comes the search which is TSA on steroids, the pat down, shaking of the bra, opening your mouth to make sure nothing is coming in blah blah. It was really simple to me, I've had a few "random" stops with TSA so I know how anal (no pun intended) they can be sometimes. Next is entry, you get a visitor number which stays with you whenever you go visit anyone at another prison. You have to take a picture, wait for them to let you in then head in to the visitors area. It is really just a big area with a lot of tables, and different paintings on the walls. The Correctional Officer tells you to hand in a paper with your picture, and the person you are visiting on it. They then assign you to a table, and let you know that you are able to go outside and walk around. Then comes the waiting game for your loved one.

I have not seen this friend of mine since I was like 18-19 years old, I am now 24. He is serving a 10 year sentence and has already completed 5. His name is James, and he is one of the smartest, most positive and funniest people I have met. On days when I myself am out here wanting to rip my hair out with school, and crap with life, he gives me an extra form of reassurance needed to keep going. We are all humans, we all make mistakes, some big some small and one way or another we all learn from them. He made a mistake, he took responsibility and is now doing his time for it. This speed bump life threw at him is not going to determine who he will become after it, it will only allow him to grow and be successful when he comes out. I am a firm believer that being incarcerated will either, make you or break you. You have to be a mentally strong person to endure such things.

Our visit was so nice, and very much needed for us both. We were both laughing it up, catching up on things on the outside, him telling me how things are in there. We were munching too. They have what's called a canteen, this is where you just go up to a window that they sell all types of snacks, drinks, and picture tickets for when you want to take a picture together. We walked outside, it was a beautiful day with blue skies and limited amount of fluffy looking clouds, great temperature and all. We played cards, he taught me how to play blackjack. We will continue to practice on my next visit for sure. I need to hit the casino and show off my skills one day. I was new to everything. They have rules you have to follow, if not that may mess up your visitation privileges and theirs too. No arms around the shoulders, no sitting side by side, cant hug too long, etc. But honestly in my opinion they were a little more lenient than I thought. I have never been in jail, like I said never even visited someone either. So I was very ignorant to the rules that were to be followed at this establishment. I was able to spend a couple of hours just relaxing, having great conversations and learning from each other. We took some awesome pictures that are down below too. He was so thankful for me writing him, and making the trip to visit him. He was so genuinely happy to see me, to talk to me and just to be around someone new with such positive vibes. Little does he know, I took so much more with me too.

The reason for this blog is to shine light on our loved ones in jail, or prison whatever. This is also for our older family members in nursing homes or rehab centers. If they are still around, contact them, help them get through their tough times, and learn from them as well. Reassure them that they still have a support system out here. As for my people that ARE out here and free, take into consideration the wild advantage that you have available. You are able to do whatever it is you want, you have all the resources to be successful and to reach every galaxy out here. This visit to my dear friend James just made me want to be there for him more, and to just strive harder than I have been for my dreams that I WILL make a reality. I am so grateful for everything I have out here, especially my freedom, my family and the ability to do whatever it is that I want. This trip really made me look at many things differently. If you are religious, or spiritual send good vibes his way. Hopefully he makes it home sooner and can begin to build his empire. He has already started from the inside, with things like reading and planning. He will be coming back home a new man and ready to take on the world. I hope you all know how blessed you are to have all that you do. Remember to always "Love and allow to be loved" xo

This post is dedicated to James (Bootsy) with love.

Let's Keep Saving In Toronto

This entry is a continuum of my trip to the beautiful Toronto. As many of you know already, I am mostly a loner traveler. I am always open to make new friends on my trips. I hope you all make a trip alone to a new place someday. Comfort is always the enemy, and keeping things too alike may hold you back from bigger and better opportunities. Hope you enjoy these next few stops I made, and be on the look out for one more Toronto entry next Sunday.

First place I went into was called "Starving Artist". Considering I am an artist in the writing world, I felt it right to enjoy a meal with such a dope name. This place is every waffle lovers dream. 99% of the food items on the menu, get waffles incorporated into them. I myself started off with a fruit smoothie of mangos, strawberries, and bananas. In the smoothie they use a type of yogurt, ice and juice. It was super warm inside, so I wanted something sweet and refreshing.  Also I enjoyed a fruit bowl, great variety of fruits as well. As for my meal, my taste buds went on a fishy and smooth ride. I enjoyed the egg benedict with salmon, side of baked beans, and some  greens did me well too. As you can see I left my business card on their bulletin board. Someone will grab it. The prices were great, and the food was awesome. The service from everyone was rewarding, very attentive and helpful as well.

I went to the equivalent of New York's Times Square in Toronto. This is known as Yonge Dundas Square. Fun fact, Yonge St. is the longest street in the world, stretching 1,178 miles long. It is a great place for pictures, to walk around at, and even do some retail therapy as well. I was pretty excited to know Canada had Popeyes too, everybody loves fried chicken and biscuits. I walked into a random bar called "Imperial Pub". Such a welcoming staff, and good vibes as soon as you go in. The bar is a family owned business that has been around for 72 years. In the old times, to have a liquor licence you had to have rooms upstairs for hotel stays. Enjoyed a couple cups of Moosehead Larger, Canadian beer, all for about $8-$9. Live jazz band every Friday as well. This is a cool trip for younger adults, the drinking age in Canada is 19, so take an Uber, and get your drink on.

El Furniture is a super laid back and inexpensive stop as well. This is like a college bar, with tasty food, and great music. Live DJ's spinning while you dance, drink and eat. As you can tell from the girls dancing on the bar, the music selection was too legit. My friend Femi put me on to this place and it was perfect. I chose some lemon pepper wings, and he soft chicken tacos. The best part of this place, is ALL food is only $4.95 all the time. For sure recommend this place for a pregame or even just to chill for the night.

Thank you all for the continued support with everything that I do. As I said up top, I will have another blog entry from Toronto next week as well. Feel free to contact me with any questions, or just to say hi. I may not reply right away, but I love all my supporters. Just know you WILL get a reply from me within 24 hours. Working Overtime

I want to make it a habit to write a personal or update blog of myself every few months. I feel that you all deserve to know a bit about the things going on in my personal life. I am always open to answer emails, or messages on social networks about your lives, or even mine. I want to get better acquainted with my supporters.

An update of my life, I am still very much single with no plans to get into a relationship anytime soon. I have (thank God) not returned to the dark place that I spoke of in my last personal blog "Hardships Turned into Blessings". I went to Denver recently as you all saw on my last couple of blogs. It was my first out of State blog entry. I had such an awesome time being somewhere new, with all types of different people. I passed out a lot of business cards, and spoke one on one with lots of locals. That was just the beginning to all the networking I will be doing along my trips, and days in general.

I have been a little overwhelmed with school as of lately. Last semester I only took two courses which was a breeze and I passed with great scores. But this semester I am taking a total of 5 classes. I am taking things like Micro-Economics, Political Science, Humanities, Mathematics, and a Science course. I feel like I have 3,749 tests every other week for a different class. I am constantly in a textbook, reviewing notes or back on campus with a tutor. All of this PLUS my job that gives me an average of 35 to 40 hours a week. So I go to class Monday through Wednesday and I am at work Thursday through Sunday. Needless to say, I feel SWAMPED. At times I just want to stay in bed and turn my phone off for a whole day, but I know that this is my time to work my a** off. This is my time to get all my priorities in order, and kill the game anyway that I can. I am very determined and very motivated by MYSELF. I have positive influences around me thankfully, but at the end of the day I look up to the FUTURE me. I look up to what I can and WILL become with dedication and consistency. I am very grateful to be single, and have no kids in a time like this. I have so much that I am doing for myself, nowhere in this madness can a lover or child fit.

I was looking into the process of egg donation. I am someone who is always willing to help others. I love kids and family oriented folks all together. I came about it randomly, it popped into my head, and like anyone else in this day in age, I paid Google a visit. I read legitimately about 16 articles on pros and cons of the journey. I have never been pregnant, but I know how beautiful life is, and how much joy children can bring to your life. Some see it as a giving your child up, others see it as something very brave. I am not doing one or the other. I am merely thinking about it, because I would love to help a couple make a family of their own. To make it quick and simple I will tell you how it goes down. They basically take a few eggs from my ovaries, insert them into a tube, insert the fathers (or sperm donor) sperm into my egg, then let it start up, followed by allowing it to be put in the mother, so their baby can bake. Now technically of course their child will have my DNA, but that is the couples CHILD. I am hoping to get more information on this from an actual doctor. If all goes well, maybe I will go through with it by the end of the year. I am in good health, young, smart, full Dominican, and  have a great personality. What parents wouldn't want my eggs?

Something else I want to start (this is for sure) is working out again. I want to get in shape. I want to teach myself how to eat healthier and stay consistent with it while in the process. I know I have a lot of things on my plate, but somehow I need to see where I can fit this in too. I need to be svelte for my upcoming birthday March 13th in addition to the rest of my life.

Next upcoming trip in the works will be Toronto, Canada. This will be my first time in Canada and my first out of the country blog. I will more than likely hit this trip up solo dolo, but knowing my spontaneous friends, someone may hop on with me. I want to do site seeing things, national parks, maybe a couple of bars, see some animals, find the good food around the city, go to a museum, and just see where else the locals send me. If you or anyone you know have been to Toronto, let me know the fun things to do while I am there. I will be taking this trip in March, so be on the lookout.

This is more or less an update of where I am at in life currently. If you want to know anything else in depth, please do not hesitate in contacting me. Also if you want to just vent, and ask advice I am totally open for it. I may not reply the same second, but give me 24 hours TOPS and we can talk. I want you all to know that you have someone in me that is very similar to you. I am just a 23 year old girl, finding herself, trying to build greatness and travel all in between. I want to tell you that whatever it is that you want, GO GET THAT SH**! No one will ever hand you anything but excuses in life. You have to know what it is that you want, make a plan, and start the move. Slow steps are still steps. I hope you all are growing in one way or another, and that you are allowing yourself out of the house, and into the beautiful world. Get fresh air, see some paintings, have cheap food, catch a free movie. Point is to get out and have some fun out of your ordinary routines. Remember that when I say "Love and allow to be loved" I mean that for everything around, not only people. I mean this towards yourself, your God, your goals, your career, your life. If you love these things or people, and allow them to love you back, nothing but greatness will evolve from them. I am living proof of this. I love you all, and appreciate all the endless support. May you all continue to strive for happiness and success.

Love and allow to be loved. Xoxo

Hardships Turned Into Blessings

I want everyone to take this title as literal as they come. If you are not taking something good from a horrible situation, you need to keep the hunt going. Letting you all into my personal life is never for pity, its so that others are able to see that I am human and have my lows just like you all do at one point or another. I hope that someone will be able to relate to something I go through someday whether it be good or bad and just better themselves in general.

This was all back in about May to about July of this year. I lost my job, lost my lover, and the worse loss of all my faith in God. Even if it was for only a day, it was lost. This isn't in any way a blog to shove religion down your throat, but Jesus is my savior and he has taken me out of so many deep holes and I am grateful for how merciful and giving he is with me.

Moving along, back in about April I had suddenly been let off from my job. It was very unprofessional, distasteful and in my opinion unfair. If you have been let off from an employer in Florida you know that they do not need a real reason to let you go anyway. I was literally told by someone who is not even legally part of the company "you are great with what you do, I enjoy how you treat my customers, but the gossiping of others led you to lose your job." Correct me if I'm wrong but I do not see how that had anything to do with how I work or how well I treated my customers. But at the end of the day it is all good, relationships were broken but all is forgiven on my side. So at this point I am jobless and soon to be (at the time) moving cross country to move in with my lover. So I am stuck babysitting, giving driving lessons and helping my mother at her beauty salon just to make credit card payments, have gas and save the tiny bit I could for my big move.

Now I am due to leave to Los Angeles for early July so I am trying to scrape up my bit of money and get all my things ready for my big move. So as I get closer to making my big move, my lover at the time begins to get very hostile, disrespectful and distant with me. I decide to call off my trip for obvious reasons. I was in a verbally abusive relationship where I was taken for granted and did not have any emotional support. If you are not being respected in any type of relationship then you do not need to stick around. He was always extremely controlling and I at the time thought it was just his way of showing how much he loved me. When in reality he just wanted me to change everything about me, while also putting me down every chance he got.  I get that trust is always something that is built, but belittling should not be part of that process. I learned that distance never hurts a relationship, lack of trust and respect does. So I called it quits. I opted out of my relationship with a man I thought would someday be my husband, and the father to my children, along with my life long dream of moving to California to expand myself. Nothing is worth you being unhappy all the time. So now I have no job, little to no money and the man that I was in love with is non existent.

At this point I am feeling very weak and overwhelmed with my current events, my future with school. I am 23 and have no idea what I really want in my life. I did not like my career choice, how long I've been in school already, just all of it. I fell in a pool of depression for other internal feelings and family issues. I did not want to talk to my family or friends, having a horrible attitude with everyone and having horrible devil sent thoughts. I found myself questioning my God. I was absolutely believing that all the things that were going on with me were to break me down. I had an ending of the whole depression ordeal and just got up and allowed the devil up off of me and let my God in instead. I allowed positive motivation and God to give me the strength to get up from my dungeon of a room and get better mentally, physically, and emotionally. The blessing in it all was that is just had to be DONE! I needed to be broken down so that I would be able to build back up stronger and more focused than ever.

I began to reevaluate my career choice, my job choices and my loved ones around me. I started to research things that I was able to do long term that would bring me happiness and money all in one. That is when I stumbled upon a career in communications, which has many different fields I would be able to join in. I made up my mind to make this website to network and to express myself all while helping others too. I started a part time job with an amazing company that works with my school schedule and taking time off for trips too to allow me to blog on. I got closer than ever to God and begged for forgiveness, guidance and overall love. I needed love from him, the universe and my family whom I had been neglecting because of my own demons trying to ruin me.

I am now so grateful for every single downfall I went through because I got up, got better and got stronger. You can't blame yourself for the downfalls, you can only blame yourself if you choose to stay down. Petty parties should never be accepted, you grieve for a while and then go back to wearing bright colors with a smile on your beautiful soul and face. Always look for what healthy outlets you can find to become a better you. We will always go through ugly points in our lives, some uglier than others but we have to be able to find loop holes to get back on top of the world. No one in the world can help you get better and ahead than yourself. Hardships really do turn into blessings, some in a day, or a few months or even years. Just know that it does not rain forever, your sunshine will always come out. Make sure to always believe in something and hold on to positive energy all around.

Remember more than anything to "Love and allow to be loved." xoxo

Fun & inexpensive activities in Orlando! Pt. 1

We all enjoy fun days and nights in the city. If you are anything like me though you are a college student, regular Joe or Jill on a budget. How do you incorporate fun outings with little to no change to spare? I am here to guide you around the beautiful city with some fun activities to get into. I took my time and visited a few interesting places in Orlando to have a bit of variety for you all.

First on my list I visited 'Natura Coffee and Tea.' they have different fun events on different days of the week, I went on a Wednesday night which is Jazz night and on a Sunday witch is open mic night, a mixture of comedy, live music, and poetry. This location is right around the University of Central Florida which makes it very accessible for many. Both nights start at about 9pm, I arrived about 30 minutes after to both. My personal favorite had to be the Jazz night though, super laid back, amazing music overall. Staff is very nice and helpful, you do have to kind of wave them down at the bar to get things considering the few people that work there. This is a lounge that serves coffee, teas, beers, wines, finger foods, a few pastries and hookah. Everything ranges from about $3-$8. The hookah has a happy hour 6pm-8pm in which you can enjoy them for $10 (regularly about $13-$15.) They even have different art around the shop that you can buy if you like them enough. This place has a totally funky and unique environment. They have no cover charge which is awesome if you just want to hop on the wifi and study. You are more than welcome to just grab a spot on a couch or a table and enjoy the vibes, their products smell so good though, I'm sure you will want to enjoy a coffee or some spinach dip while you're there (grab the pita chips with any dip.) I had the pleasure of listening to Caleb Joel on the Saxophone that night along with his band, and let me tell you if every single person in there doesn't tap a foot, or nod their head I will personally buy you TWO drinks, the whole atmosphere is just leaking with talent and vibrant music. If you are in the mood for somewhere to hide out alone, enjoy an inexpensive date or overall just love to listen to talent and celebrate creativity this is the place for you. Not to mention if you have a talent that you would love to let others enjoy, give them a call and find a slot to show off your art.

Next place that I swung by is a little more on the family oriented side. I took this chance since I do not have kids of my own, while my 3 year old goddaughter was in town from Buffalo I took her to the Downtown Orlando public library. We simply did a walk in to Story time for toddlers and school kids. This is all free and every child will enjoy it from beginning to end. They stretch to start off, loosen up those muscles and get a kick of energy started. The librarian reads the children three books, they sing songs and best of all her voice alone make the stories come alive for kids. This is a great way to expand your child's vocabulary, allow them to interact with other children and also to expand their imaginations. The librarian teaches them new words, animals and places that you can later bring up again to refresh their memories and expand their education. She allows them to sing tunes a few times during the session and allows them to shout and express themselves too. Another thing I loved was how she allows them to use props in the stories and songs. She had a light scarf the kids had to throw around and make believe was a waterfall, and use it for certain sounds. I found this awesome because it is a great way for children to learn to follow directions while still having fun. You can choose to sit in the shadows or interact with your child in the mist of it all. They have different activities for different aged children on different days too. This is a great outing for kids in my opinion. Its educational, fun filled, best of all safe and free.

www.Ocls.info find the library near you and find out when their story times are or contact me for help.

Last location that I stopped in at was a little more slow paced, but very rewarding, artistic and also educating. I visited the Cornell Art museum located at the Rollins college in Winter Park. Conveniently this also was a free event, thanks to Dale Montgomery '60. This isn't too big of an art museum, but it is just right to spend an hour or two of your day either alone, with a date or a couple of friends. The woman at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful with all the questions I had. This museum has a lot of older European art, mixed with a little modern and a new featured artist each semester. The new artist for every semester has their own section in the museum to exhibit their work. There is a booklet that allows you to follow the great art as you go and gives you a good amount of information on many of the pieces. I went alone to this one and loved every tranquil bit of it. I personally enjoyed just going to each piece reading up on the piece itself, the artist and getting a close look at the brush strokes and colors. I find it fascinating how art work stays in tact or how others can remake such an original piece and still make it look marvelous. This is more of a place to head to if you like art, quite small places and learning about old artifacts. You can also call and do scavenger hunts with your kids on specific days and engage in hands on art activities. This can be something that can also be fun for the whole family.

 Closed Mondays Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm Saturday-Sunday Noon-5pm (407) 646 2526 1000 Holt Ave Winter Park, Fl 32789 Building 303

Now all these places are in Orlando or right around considering I live here. I do hope that this does not limit my audience that are in other cities to get up and out. Search for places in your city that offer these same great options. Most cities offer free art museums on certain days, and all should have free library reading times for kids. Now this was a very brief and simple start to my adventure take off for you all. I will be engaging in a lot of fun things to do on a budget as time passes. Tune in next Sunday for a wild, adventurous and high experience. Remember "Love and allow to be loved." Thank you all for the amazing support, please drop comments, likes, or contact me personally with any questions or feedback. Xoxo

Welcoming Introduction

Hello to all (throws cyber confetti) my name is Wendolyn Marte. My last name literally means Mars in Spanish for anyone wondering. Also when it comes to my quote "Love and allow to be loved" I mean this not only for humans, but for the universe, your job, your goals etc. You must love your surroundings and what it is that you want to achieve and allow it to love you back in order to prevail, when you give you will receive only when done from a good place in your heart. I want to welcome you all into my website also known as my cyber child. I am 23 years old, I have been raised in Orlando, Fl for 16 years. I only have one sibling a 16 year old sister, both of our parents are from Dominican Republic. I am fluent in Spanish and always willing to learn a few different words from other languages. I have been in and out of college since 2010; my initial career choice was to be a Neonatal Nurse. I came to the realization that even though I adore children and enjoy to help others, the medical field just wasn't my calling. So I had to put my thinking cap on and remember what my real passion was. I have always enjoyed writing, being around people, and traveling. I found that the Communications field has a broad selection of career choices to pick from. So I went to my college and switched my whole major around, and I have never felt more excited and confident to achieve something as I am about this career. I am currently taking a couple of classes to get my feet wet again, and allow myself to also have a job to pay for my outings along with my bills. Another reason I chose to switch my major around was because I do not want to be in college for X amount of years, be at a job for 3-5 years and want to call it quits or just be unhappy with it overall. I want a career that is always demanding my attention, allowing me to better myself and to move up with my dreams all while having a genuine smile on my face and meeting new people every chance I get. This blog is to help me, help you and also to allow me to grow as a blogger. I will be posting random things in my personal life once in a while to keep you all updated on things around me and to assist anyone with how to overcome some downfalls we tend to have at times. I will mostly be posting on fun tips with adventure, travel, date ideas, and ways to just have fun and relax while at the same time not murdering your pockets with an ax. I hope that this helps some of you know that it is okay at times to fall on your ass, as long as you find a way to get up and get better that is ALL that matters. We all make mistakes and sometimes we don't use our time too efficiently, brush it off and put your life in full force, that is the only thing that should be of real importance. I hope you all will tune in every week to see what fun things I am doing and that I am able to get you all out of your homes and out to an adventure even if it is just once a month. I want to give you all variety and consistency. All feedback is welcomed and appreciated, feel free to contact me, check in my contacts tab to see the easiest way for you all to reach me. Thank you so much for beginning this journey with me, you all are my beautiful audience and I hope to have a special relationship with you all. XoXo
